The GSS BCA Department proudly celebrated Computer Science Education Week by organizing “The Hour of Code” on 7th, 8th, and 9th September 2026. 💻✨
🌍 The Hour of Code is a global initiative celebrated as part of Computer Science Education Week in recognition of the birthday of computing pioneer Admiral Grace Murray Hopper. The initiative aims to introduce students to the world of computer science and coding, inspiring young minds to explore, create, and innovate. It is celebrated across 180+ countries, reaching over 100 million students every year.
👩💻👨💻 This year, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 610 students, including PUC-I and PUC-II students of GSS, students of RPD College, and school students from Bhandari School and Shanbhag School.
🏆 The sessions were filled with curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and the joy of learning. Prizes were distributed to the winners at the end of each session, celebrating their enthusiasm and achievements.
