Seminar Report on “Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things”

The Department of BCA, GSS, organized an informative seminar on "Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT)" for the final-year BCA students on 18th July 2026. The session was conducted by Mr. Viraj Jingouda, President & CEO of Veertrons Foundation.

The speaker began the seminar by giving a brief introduction to the Internet of Things (IoT) and explained its importance in today's digital world. He described the IoT architecture, including sensors, microcontrollers, cloud connectivity, and communication between smart devices. A workflow diagram was presented to help students understand how IoT devices collect, process, and transmit data.

Mr. Jingouda also demonstrated the Arduino Board, explaining its basic components, programming concepts, and simple Arduino codes used to control sensors and devices. The practical examples enabled students to understand how IoT applications are developed and implemented.

The session also highlighted the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing IoT systems, making them more intelligent, efficient, and user-friendly. The speaker discussed various real-world applications of AI and IoT in smart homes, healthcare, agriculture, transportation, and industrial automation.

Overall, the seminar was highly informative and interactive. It provided students with valuable knowledge about emerging technologies and motivated them to develop practical skills in AI and IoT for future career opportunities. The students actively participated in the session and appreciated the practical insights shared by the resource person.
