About Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)

Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) is an initiative of Ministry of Higher Education, Govt. Of India in collaboration with AICTE, which was started in the year 2018. The objective of the council is to develop a culture of innovation, startups, and entrepreneurship within Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) in India. It acts as a council of faculty and students focused on activities like IPR, design thinking, and creativity. This is an additional effort of the IIC of the college to make the students aware of various options after their degree course other than routine jobs.

Our college registered for IIC in the year 2021. IIC of our college conducts year-round activities including ideation, problem-solving, outreach programs and workshops on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). We also invite established innovators and successful businessmen for motivational talks and for guiding our students on innovation and start ups. Besides, visits to industries, educational institutions etc are also arranged for students to give them exposure to the recent developments in various fields. Every year a ‘smart hackathon’ competition is conducted and prizes are given to students. Reports of all the activities conducted by IIC are uploaded on Our college portal of IIC.
