Brief Profile
G.S.Sc College strives to maintain the standards of excellence as an academic institution.
The college ensures that all students, irrespective of their socio-economic background,
get the best possible learning environment and equal opportunity for their overall development.
The purpose of the Students’ Welfare Office (SWO) is to implement the college policies concerned with the welfare of the students.
Aim and Objectives of the Committee
- To provide maximum benefits and opportunities to the students through various welfare activities organized by the college authorities.
- To analyze and solve problems of the students regarding academic and institutional activities.
- Implementation of the government policies and procedures relating to students’ welfare.
- Helping students to realize their potential.
- Promoting not only academic but also co-curricular and extracurricular activities among students for their overall development.
Duties of SWO
- To receive grievances from students and bring them to the notice of the Principal.
- To inform students about fee concessions and various fellowships available.
- To inform guardians about the progress of their ward.
- To encourage students to follow discipline on campus.
- Ensure coordination between students, parents, and college departments such as the Office, Library, and Hostel Wardens.
- To facilitate medical aid for sick students.

These committees function along with the SWO for the implementation of student welfare schemes and policies on the college campus.
Grievances Redressal Cell
Complaints or suggestions from students regarding issues such as cleanliness of washrooms and classrooms,
drinking water facilities, or repairs of tube lights and fans are brought to the notice of the Principal for necessary action.

Parents’ Teachers Meet
- G.S.Sc College aims at providing best quality education to the society and all the resources for the students to become good citizens.
- PTA provides parents and teachers a common platform to work for the betterment of the college, teaching and everything that influences the physical and intellectual growth of a student.
- Parents actively participate in the interaction with the teachers and the Principal to discuss academic performance of the students, social skills, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities conducted in the college for the students.
- Suggestions made by the parents are considered.
